A journey along the stunning shores of the Antalya coast is unlike any other—an experience that stirs the soul and awakens the senses.
Traveling in the footsteps of the ancient Lycian Kingdom, participants uncover secrets once hidden from the world, just as the Lycians did centuries ago. This forgotten land is home to idyllic harbors that once sheltered pirate fleets, wild canyons that housed entire cities, and mountaintop fortresses carved directly into the rock.
This is more than a scenic adventure—it’s a journey inward, inviting you to see yourself as part of a vast and timeless world we often lose sight of in our fast-paced modern lives. At the same time, it is a test of character, calling on you to confront your fears and, like the ancient peoples before you, rise above your own limits.
Upon arrival at Antalya Airport, we head straight to the charming town of Göynük, where we’ll check into our guesthouse. After settling in, we’ll enjoy a welcoming dinner at the hotel, meet our guide, and receive an overview of the exciting journey ahead. The rest of the evening is free for rest and relaxation.
After breakfast, the adventure begins. A short 10-minute transfer takes us to the Göynük Canyon, where we start our scenic ascent along a zigzagging trail through the ridge.
We’ll have the chance to take a refreshing dip in the cool canyon waters before finishing the hike at a bridge located 850 meters above sea level. From there, a driver will take us to the peaceful mountain village of Ovacık, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night in a cozy guesthouse.
Following breakfast, a short transfer brings us to the trailhead to continue where we left off. Today’s route leads us to Gedelve, where we’ll explore the ruins of a Roman castle, then continue our hike to the village of Yayla Kuzdere, with magnificent views of Mount Tahtalı along the way. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a hearty dinner and overnight stay in a traditional countryside guesthouse.
Today is the most physically rewarding day of the tour. After breakfast, we begin our ascent of Mount Tahtalı from Yayla Kuzdere, following the riverbed and passing through the high-altitude pastures of Çukur Yayla. The trek to the summit takes around 6–7 hours, with a 1,400-meter elevation gain. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Mediterranean. From the summit, we take the cable car down to the base of the mountain (ticket not included, paid on site), where a driver will meet us and take us to the seaside village of Çıralı. We’ll have dinner and overnight accommodation in a local guesthouse near the beach.
After breakfast, we set off along the beach for a 6-kilometer hike to the ancient city of Olympos. Once a pirate haven, Olympos is scattered with atmospheric ruins of tombs, temples, and churches, now hidden among lush vegetation along a river that flows into the sea. After lunch, there’s plenty of free time to swim or relax on the beach. In the evening, we’ll take a short hike to see the mysterious flames of Chimera—natural gas fires that emerge from the earth and have been burning for millennia. Return to Çıralı for dinner and an overnight stay at the guesthouse.
After breakfast, we leave Çıralı on foot, passing once more through the ruins of Olympos and ascending Moses Mountain (650 m). The trail winds through dense forest and ancient remnants, offering glimpses into the region’s storied past. We’ll stop for a picnic lunch near an old shepherd’s hut, then descend through the forest, past abandoned rural homes, until we reach the picturesque bay of Adrasan. Check into our beachside hotel, followed by dinner and rest.
Today’s route begins right from the hotel. After breakfast, we head south, ascending Kızıl Sırt (450 m) along one of the most remote and scenic coastal sections of the Lycian Way.
We’ll walk high above the sea, taking in dramatic cliffs and eventually reaching the Cape Gelidonya Lighthouse (200 m), offering one of the most iconic views of the entire trail.
After descending to a dirt road, we’re picked up by our driver and transferred back to Adrasan. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we say farewell to the coast and transfer to Antalya Airport for your flight home.
